Nuestra Auxiliar del Mes de diciembre, Maria Mella, nació en el pintoresco país de Chile y lleva más de 20 años viviendo en los Estados Unidos. Como una persona amable, responsable y respetuosa, Maria se ha sentido atraída para brindar ayuda a los demás y anteriormente trabajó en Rochester Unity como auxiliar. Ella postuló para trabajar con nosotros cuando aún eramos Companion Care of Rochester y ha trabajado para nuestra empresa desde hace 6 años, aproximadamente.
A Maria le gusta cuidar a otras personas y tener la posibilidad de hacerlo en una empresa confiable. Cuando se trata de brindar ayuda a quien lo necesita y estar presente para ofrecer apoyo, Maria sabe que Blossom siempre responde al desafío. A Maria le gusta el estilo de comunicación abierta y confiable que caracteriza a Blossom. Ella expresa que, si existe algún problema, Blossom hace honor a su Valor Central para Solucionar el Problema y encuentra soluciones que parecían no existir. Ella admira la forma en que Blossom respeta y honra a sus empleados y clientes a través de gestos profundos.
Maria se siente inspirada a dar lo mejor de sí por el amor que siente hacia sus clientes. Ella es particularmente cercana a uno de sus clientes y la trata como si fuera su propia madre. Estar ahí para su cliente y ayudarla en cada paso que da significa una enorme alegría para su corazón. Juntas participan en actividades significativas como decorar una casa de muñecas con pequeños animales donde cada uno tiene su propio lugar especial. Maria ayuda a su cliente y la anima a ser creativa ayudándola a dibujar y colorear (tareas que a su cliente le resultan difíciles de hacer por sí misma debido a su demencia). Entendiendo la importancia de sentirse independiente, Maria permite que su cliente se sienta autosuficiente de una manera segura. A su cliente le encanta participar en las actividades que están haciendo sus auxiliares, así, cuando Maria está limpiando, ella le asigna un área pequeña a su cliente para que trabaje y pueda sentirse independiente.
Maria no duda en recomendar hacer una carrera en Blossom. Ella cree que el trabajo como auxiliar es una carrera gratificante donde se pueden hacer diferencias significativas y positivas en la vida de los demás. En Blossom, se puede ayudar a los demás y a la vez recibir apoyo y ser escuchado. Si se es entusiasta, Maria dice que Blossom es el lugar perfecto para trabajar. Somos realmente afortunados por tener una auxiliar trabajadora, dedicada y compasiva como Maria como miembro de nuestra familia en Blossom. ¡Muchas gracias por todo lo que hace!
Our Aide of the Month for December, Maria Mella, was born in the picturesque land of Chile and has now lived in the United States for over 20 years. As a loving, responsible, and respectful individual, Maria has been drawn to helping others and previously worked at Rochester Unity as an Aide. She applied to us when we were still Companion Care of Rochester and has been working with our company for about six years.
Maria loves caring for others and being able to do so at a reliable company. When it comes to providing help when someone is in need, and being there to offer support, Maria knows that Blossom always rises to the challenge. Maria loves Blossom’s open communication and dependable nature. She states that if there is an issue, Blossom lives up to its Core Value of Solve the Problem and finds solutions that did not seem to exist. She admires how Blossom respects and honors their employees and clients through thoughtful gestures.
Maria is inspired to do her best by her love for her clients. She is particularly close with one client and treats her like she is her own mother. Being there for her client and helping every step of the way brings joy to Maria’s heart. Together the two engage in meaningful activities like decorating a doll house with little animals that each have their own special spot. Maria helps her client and encourages her to get creative by assisting her with drawing and coloring (tasks that are difficult for her client to do on her own because of her dementia). Understanding the importance of feeling independent, Maria allows her client to feel self-sufficient in a safe manner. Her client enjoys participating in the activities her aides are doing, so when Maria is cleaning, she will give her client a little area to work on so she can feel independent.
Maria wouldn’t hesitate to recommend a career at Blossom. She believes that working as an Aide is a fulfilling career where you can make a significant and positive difference in the lives of others. At Blossom, you can help others while being supported and listened to. If you are passionate, Maria says Blossom is the perfect place to work. We are truly lucky to have a hardworking, dedicated, and compassionate aide like Maria as a member of the Blossom family. Thank you for all that you do!
